Job Title: Sr. Clearcase & Clearquest Admin

Location: Pleasanton/Vacaville, CA

Duration: 9+ Months

Rate: Open


  •  Understand different development streams within State Fund and come up with the proposal for VOB and View configurations.
  •  Implement and support Clearcase and Clearquest Configuration and Administration.
  •  Define, setup, automate, document and support Clearcase and Clearquest Workflows, policies and procedures, including integration bet. CC and CQ.
  •  Accountable for end to end support, maintenance, installation, and upgrades of Clearcase and Clearquest administration of servers in a Multi-OS eco system.
  •  Develop and maintain a robust branching and merging strategy for all internal developments and third-party deliverables.
  •  Design and implement backup and recovery system for Clearcase and Clearquest.
  •  Partner with, train, and mentor State Fund employees to be self sufficient in managing and supporting Clearcase and Clearquest.
  •  Analyze, plan and implement complex technical software and standards as necessary.
  •  Provides direction and mentoring to other Administrators and related positions at the client site.

Required Skills:

  •  Strong in Clearcase and Clearquest Configuration and Administration.
  •  Strong working experience in Windows, Linux and UNIX.
  •  Hands-on experience in scripting languages: one or more of Perl, Python, Shell, & batch.
  •  5-6 years of Clearcase and Clearquest Configuration and Administration and user support at a senior admin level.
  •  Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. At least 2 years working experience on XML, UML, scripting
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a good team player.
  •  Demonstrated ability of work prioritization.
  •  Driven, self-motivated, quick thinker, problem solver, great communicator. 

Desired Skills:

  •  Knowledge of build tools, defect management systems and software development life cycle.
  •  Experience in JIRA, QC preferred.
