Job Title: Sr. Java Developer w/ Web Services

Location: Alpharetta, GA or Houston, TX or Palo Alto, CA or Roseville, CA (All locations are available)

Job Description:

  • Client is implementing a new customer and partner facing systems at the same time we are expanding our manufacturing capabilities to new regions, and you'll be working on the mission-critical infrastructure that supports software licensing supply chain.
  • You'll be a part of an international, smart, energized team of people.
  • Consultant will be responsible for implementing web services and new functionality for our software licensing applications.
  • You will participate in cross organizational programs through participation in and coordination of multiple projects across worldwide supply chains and external partners:


  • Participate to business requirements definitions with product engineers, product marketing, or business teams
  • Define technical solutions following our IT standards
  • Formalize specifications, do development, perform integration testing
  • Train application support team and provide support to business operations when needed
  • Ensure business testing is completed, plan the move to production and get it done
  • Be the business contact for infrastructure teams (mandated IT projects/upgrade/patches)


  • Strong practical experience in coding web services (REST, SOAP) that are Java based. J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB)
  • Very experienced Java developer; ability to code without relying on templates
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting coding errors a must
  • Working knowledge of authentication/authorization tools and working with ApacheTomcat & WebLogic
  • Practical experience using development tools, i.e. Eclipse IDE, Subversion, J-Unit
  • Technical knowledge and experience in some or all of the following areas;
  • Programming languages; HTML, XML, C, C++, Shell scripts, and XSL
  • Operating systems: HP-UX (K-shell), MS Windows
  • Environment: Client/server, Web
  • Database: SQL, Oracle (Pro*C)
  • Middleware: DCE, Corba
  • Data Encryption Algorithms
  • Teamwork in virtual context
  • Leadership, initiative and self-motivation
  • Project management - Worldwide programs
  • Communication (Product Engineer - Product Marketing - External partners - Production Engineer)
  • Licensing business mechanisms and technologies knowledge a plus
