Job Title: Sr. Java Web Developer

Location: Washington, DC 

Duration: 8+ months 

Rate: Open 

This resource will be responsible for migration of sites from Aptrix to LWCM 6.1.5 and creation/maintenance of sites in LWCM.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years or more of relevant IT experience ( Java based technologies)
  • 4+ years of IBM WCM/portal (6.xx) coding and unit testing
  • 6+ years of J2EE (J2ee, JSP, spring framework) coding and unit testing
  • 3+ of XML/XSLT experience using Java based technologies
  • 6+ years of HTML+ AJAX  and troubleshooting experience
  • 2+ yrs of experience with the WCM API and building all types of WCM components.
  • Expert level knowledge of development on IBM LWCM 6.1.5
  • Hands on and in-depth experience with the WCM and building all types of WCM components
  • Experience with HTML, web navigation design and architecture is a must
  • Experience with migration to LWCM 6.1.5
  • Good knowledge of using WCI for migration/integration
  • Strong customer facing technical presence with the ability to solve complex problems
  • Good documentation and communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in migration from Aptrix to LWCM
  • Specialist with expertise in building components using Web 2.0 technology.
  • Requires hands on in-depth experience with the WCM API and building all types of WCM components.
  • Experience with HTML, web navigation design and architecture is a must.
  • Proficiency at creating SQL statements and regular expressions is also required.
  • Experience in consolidating multiple sites in to WCM
  • Lotus Notes Experience
  • Dreamweaver and Photoshop experience
  • Usage of source control tools esp. ClearCase.

Responsibilities:

  • Create design and content libraries as needed
  • Create/update Authoring and Presentation templates
  • Set WCI configuration for migration
  • Maintain and run RSS Java producer that interfaces with Aptrix
  • Create sites and site frameworks
  • Create navigators, menus and other needed components
  • Apply any necessary configurations and security controls as needed.
  • Implement workflows as needed.
  • Perform unit testing on the sites.
  • Participate in project status meetings
